finAPI GmbH is one of the leading providers of banking APIs in Germany and is licensed by BaFin as an account information service and payment initiation service. The Munich-based company has been developing and implementing appropriate open banking and open finance solutions for B2B customers and their applications since 2008.  

Since early 2019, SCHUFA Holding AG has acquired a majority stake in the fintech finAPI, and the two companies have been working hand in hand on the development of XS2A-based solutions.

finAPI offers a platform to securely connect companies, banks and users. With an outstanding open banking API, finAPI enables access to account data on behalf of customers in order to analyze it or initiate payments. finAPI also supports banks and financial service providers with the XS2A Server in providing the mandatory PSD2 bank interface for TPPs.
